Summer... |
|
Update 6/29: We are enjoying the summer. Luke is
nearly finished with the school year and we'll be heading soon to visit
family in the States.
As the school year progressed, Luke began to go more and more to
kindergarten - up to 6 days a week! He really likes it and loves
to go on the "hasa'ah" (school van) each morning. We found out
today that he will be able to go to a special kindergarten next year in
Beth Shemesh where he will get extra attention and instruction. We
are thankful for that (and that the school authorities didn't decide on
the Jerusalem school for him).
Mark and Bethany are growing before our eyes and we enjoy watching
them very much. Mark is quite the helper to Mom and Dad.
Bethany is moving around a lot and will be walking on her own very soon.
Kelli continues to work hard at home, and also in preparing for Bible
studies for the fall. Todd has been pouring his time into a huge
update of the photo CDs.

| Mark is very adventurous - he
climb up steep walls, jump off high ledges and slide down poles! |
|
Bethany is content to watch.
For now. |

 |
| Luke appears to not be happy.
It's because: 1) he has to go to school; 2) he found out we're having
macaroni for dinner; or 3) his mom made him wear this silly hat for the
picture! |
|
Bethany is happy because: 1)
she likes to sit up; 2) she found out we're having macaroni for dinner; 3)
she just found a tasty treat under the couch! |

The Lord chose to take two of our
precious grandparents home this month. Grandpa Clark (Dec 1,
1920-Jun 20, 2003) was a general contractor and leader in the church.
Grandma Bolen (Jan 2, 1902-Jun 29, 2003) was a nurse, but served the Lord
in numerous ways in the 30+ years since her retirement. We last
visited Grandpa Clark in Georgia in Nov 2001 (left) and Grandma Bolen in
northern California in July 2002 (right). Both will be greatly
missed. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his
saints" (Ps 116:15). |
