Israel Nature & National Parks Protection Authority - The official government organization that supervises Israel’s nature reserves and national parks.  Provides articles and information on all the reserves and parks in the county.

BibleWalks.com - Featuring numerous sites in Galilee and northern Israel, including explanations and photos of the sites including galleries of photos of the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, and the Jezreel Valley.

Archaeological Resources

Archaeological Excavations in Israel - Hosted by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this site provides information on digs happening this year that anyone can volunteer on.

ArchNet - A virtual library of on-line resources related to not only Near Eastern archaeology but archaeology world wide.

Artifax - A newsletter covering “the latest discoveries and developments in Biblical Archaeology and related subjects.”  A subscription is inexpensive and recommended.

Associates for Biblical Research - An organization dedicated to “Demonstrating through field work the historical reliability of the Scriptures.”  Basic information related to biblical archaeology from a conservative perspective can be found here.  This organization is headed by Dr. Bryant Wood.

Bible and Interpretation - A site devoted to covering the latest news and discussions related to biblical studies.  Also includes numerous valuable essays related to archaeology.

Biblical Archaeology Society - Publisher of Biblical Archaeology Review, Bible Review, and Archaeological Odyssey.  Their website contains information about current issues of their magazines, travel/study activities, merchandise, and other features.

HolyLandPhotos.org - The work of Bethel College professor Carl Rasmussen, this site features several thousand digital photos of biblical sites.

Israel and Jerusalem Photo Album - Free images of popular tourist spots in Israel.

Middle East Photograph Archive - Collection of old photographs presented by the Middle East Department of the University of Chicago.

National Photo Collection - Israel - Collection of photographs taken by the Israeli Government Press Office over the course of the state’s existence.  Some photos from before 1948 are also included.

Preserving Bible Times - A collection of images and video clips of sites in Israel can be purchased here.  The aerial footage by this organization is particularly impressive.

The Virtual Bible - A unique resource that recreates the biblical world through computer graphics.  The creators of the project attempt to include the insights of archaeological research.

The Virtual World Project - Impressive collection of 360 degree images arranged as virtual tours of selected sites.  The project will eventually include images from Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt.
