Vandals spray-painted anti-Christian graffiti on the Dormition Abbey church. UPDATE: The graffiti was near the Dormition Abbey, just outside Zion Gate on the door of the Franciscan Convent.

    Israelis don't seem to know where the Dormition Abbey ends, so there was a lot of confusion in what the media wrote yesterday.
    As I understand it, the graffiti was not on the Dormition but rather on the gate of the Franciscan convent, the gate that you first see when coming out from Zion Gate. Haaretz has a photo of it here:

    On Mabat TV news last night they also interviewed a Benedictine brother from the Dormition. He had seen someone climbing on THEIR wall. The guy ran away when the monk shouted at him.
