The Biblical Archaeology Society has some new photos from the Temple Mount Excavation Destruction. It’s not unbelievable that the Muslim authorities of the Temple Mount would do this; it’s unbelievable that the Israelis would allow it.

I can’t find the article, but I remember reading a news article recently about the fact that many Israelis no longer think that the Temple Mount, or even East Jerusalem, are worth keeping. They view them as too much trouble and something that stands in the way of a lasting peace.
I guess if I had lived under the constant threat of war or terrorism attack all my life, I might feel the same way. But I worry what effect this might have on the future preservation of archaeological sites.
