A way to begin bridging that gap

“Understanding the biblical text requires attention to the world in which its authors lived, a world notably different from our own. Todd Bolen’s photo collection provides us with a way to begin bridging that gap. Habakkuk employs numerous visual images that would have resonated for his contemporaries, and through these images they can also resonate for us.”
